El Guincho (Pablo Diaz- Reiza) has just come out with a really fresh sounding album in Alegranza!. It's not for everyone, but El Guincho has made music worth checking out. He samples a ton of sounds and layers all of them, which results in scripted mayhem. There's a lot going on, but there's always one massive noise that keeps the tracks going. Expect lots of Spanish chanting and pounding afro-beats, as well as generally bizarre sounds. He also DJ's, so it might be worth heading to your local club to see El Guincho get real weird. You should probably be tripping too. Top Tracks include '' Fata Morgana'' and '' Cuando Marivilla Fui.'' Fellow Catalanians Salvador Dali and Antonio Gaudi would be proud.
